About Weis Woodworking

Welcome!

Established in 1983, Weis Woodworks, Inc is a custom woodworking and cabinetry business.   Founded by Curt and Anne Weis, the business is located at 12011 Pocahontas Road in Highland Illinois.  We are approximately two and a half miles west of Grantfork.  Curt learned the skill of woodworking and cabinet making while spending 3 years at Wicks Organ Company, located in Highland. Ready to get started on his own, he started his own business in 1983 in Highland Illinois, and continued his love for woodworking by providing his clients beautiful and custom pieces.

Like many amazing businesses, Curt's company began his dream in St. Jacob at his parents’ farm.  He worked out of a small shed for several years making custom wood products for his growing client base.  i.e. fireplace mantles, case work and staircase millwork and more.  Curt moved his growing business to its current location just outside Grantfork in 1992.   He was able to utilize the current building on the property as his woodworking shop.  This shop is still the main woodworking shop today. Since that day, Weis Woodworks has continued their family owned and ran business, growing steadily, adding buildings for the showroom, sawmill, kiln, and warehouse, and even a modern kiln added for kiln drying lumber used for interior purposes. 

Today's business has evolved into kitchen and bathroom cabinetry and countertops, hardwood and engineered flooring, custom staircases, bookcases, mantles and so much more!  If you have an idea, bring it to us and let us turn your dream into a reality.
